SCC are now consulting on the 2010 criteria, which they would like to leave unchanged from 2009. Keep Horsley in the Howard supports this. We need your input in two ways:
SCC are holding a public meeting at the Howard at 7pm on 2 December to ensure that all interested parties have an opportunity to have their voice heard. We need a good turn out from Horsley. Please attend. We know that other communities are planning to attend en-masse!
An online consultation has been set up by SCC. We need as many people as possible to vote in favour of SCC’s proposal. Just two minutes and a few mouse clicks is all it takes to make a real difference to the future of Horsley’s children by supporting the Council’s proposals. On behalf of our children, PLEASE RESPOND before 9 January, by following the instructions below;

Once you get to the voting form:
You’ll need to fill in your name and address.
For all questions except C.1 (see below), click on the “No Opinion” button. All questions require a response for your vote to be valid.
Click on the “Agree” button for question C.1 in connection with the Howard of Effingham. You may wish to state “See Keep Horsley in the Howard response” in the comment box.
Click on the most appropriate button to answer the question “Are you a:”
Finally, and most importantly, click on the green “ Submit” button at the end of the form.
As you can see, it’s very simple, so please get your friends and family to register their views too. It’s a bit like a vote the more responses we have in favour, the better!
